We, Earth Lovers!
With festival organizers taking steps towards a sustainable future, what can we, as festival-goers, do to reduce our impact on the festival sites and local nature? Here is your cutting-edge guide to preserving the magic.
Leave No Trace Behind
Take everything with you when leaving Sola Luna Festival! Pack up your tent, even if you don't need it anymore. Donate any unwanted camping equipment to our charity partner or take it a step further: volunteer to help clean up after the festival by contacting the production team!
Carpool or Ground Transport
Travel makes up 80% of a festival's carbon emissions. Use festival shuttles or take public transport to the festival.
Avoid Single-Use Plastics
Bring a reusable shopping bag, ask food vendors to use reusable plates or containers, and invest in a reusable bamboo cutlery set. Bring biodegradable shampoo and soap in refillable containers, or better yet, use bar soap! Please use only eco-friendly materials in the showers.
Go Paperless
Take advantage of e-ticket delivery. Use your phone for screenshots of set times. If you do use any paper, please recycle it in the bins provided.
Reusable Cup & Hydration
Hydration backpacks are a great way to cut down on plastic usage. We'll also have reusable cups available at the bars!
Say No to Plastic Straws
If you absolutely need a straw for your festival drinks, invest in a reusable metal one and carry it with you.
Bio Glitter Only
Microplastics damage our environment. Use bio glitter or skip it. Brush off all glitter before showering: remember, all drains lead to the sea.
Recycle & Repurpose Outfits
The fashion industry is a major polluter. Consider buying second-hand outfits from marketplaces or buying clothes only from eco-conscious brands.
Use Solar Power
Invest in rechargeable solar lamps for your campsite. Charge your devices during the day using a portable solar charger.
