FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is "Sola Luna Festival"?

Sola Luna Festival is an iconic celebration of psychedelic culture and electronic music that first emerged on the enchanting shores of Samothraki Island, Greece, in 2001. Revered as a pioneer in the European psychedelic festival circuit, it returns with renewed energy and vibrancy to Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand.

Where is Sola Luna Festival?

Sola Luna Festival will take place on the picturesque shores of Khanom, Thong Not Bay, Tycoon’s Place, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand. This stunning coastal location provides the perfect backdrop for a transformative celebration of psychedelic culture, electronic music, and artistic expression. Embraced by the natural beauty of the surroundings, attendees can immerse themselves in the vibrant energy of the festival while enjoying the serene ambiance of the beachfront setting.

How Do I Reach Sola Luna Festival?

Please see the How To Get There page.

What do the 'one month afterparties' mean?

Exactly as it sounds! After the festival ends, the team moves to Koh Phangan, where for a full month, we will host events in several different locations featuring a variety of world-renowned international live acts and DJs! The full program of the afterparties can be found in the afteparties page.

Where I Can Buy Tickets?

To purchase tickets for Sola Luna Festival, please visit our official Buy Tickets page.

It’s important to note that this is the only authorized seller for tickets to the event. Beware of potential scammers operating elsewhere online.

Do You Sell Daily Tickets?

No. There are only tickets for the whole duration of the festival.

What Does My Ticket Include?

Your ticket grants you full access to the festival for its entire duration, as well as access to a designated camping area where you can set up your own tent. Please note that pre-set accommodations provided by the festival are available at an additional cost.

Can I Enter The Afterparties With My Festival Wristband?

No, the festival wristband will only be active for the duration of the festival at Khanom, Thong Not Bay, Tycoon’s Place, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand. However, don’t be in a hurry to cut it off, as festival wristband holders will receive exclusive discounts and perks for the afterparties! More info will be announced on our Facebook & Instagram pages, when the afterparties start.

Can I Return/Sell/Swap my ticket?

As it clearly states at the Terms of Sale when you buy the ticket: Presale tickets are Non Refundable and Not Resalable.

Name changes also not possible!

What does “BF" next to the ticket price mean?

“BF” stands for “Booking Fee” and it’s a commission fee you’re paying to the ticket retailer and not to Sola Luna Festival.

Can I Bring My Pet To The Festival?

It goes without saying if you love your pet companion – don’t bring him/her to a music festival!

Keep pets safe by leaving them in the attendance of family and/or friends. If you can’t find anyone to take care of your pet, you can check your four-legged friend into a Pet Hotel. It’s the most sensible and responsible thing to do!

Aside from the constant festival problem with lost and/or upset dogs, be aware that the high sun heat (as in Greece in the summertime) causes rapid dehydration, while the density of crowds can increase the stress and health problems of your beloved companion.

Dogs don’t like loud music and they’re getting afraid and distressed by the “booming” sounds!

If you can’t do anything else but take the pet with you into the festival please (a) always on a leash, (b) always in your attendance, (c) away from the music stages, and (d) take good care of and clean after him/her.

Dogs are allowed at Sola Luna Festival but will NOT be permitted at the music stages.

NOTE: If, after all, you bring your four-legged friend to Sola Luna and you get caught without a leash, or being unattended, or in a fight, or in the Stages, please don’t take it personally when we escort you out of the festival.

We will be vigilant & relentless on this issue! No flexibility whatsoever.

You have been warned.

Are Vehicles Available for Rent?

Yes, scooters and motorbikes. For rentals, please contact +66 92-456-5547 via WhatsApp. Please note: This service is provided by a third-party vendor, not Sola Luna Festival.

Are There Lockers Available?

Sola Luna Festival offers safe lockers for renting with 24h security on-site & service.

We offer only one size, a large locker that can fit from small to large items like a daypack, laptops, electronic equipment, etc. There will be a safe deposit process operating at the Festival Info Point (onsite) and under the eyes of our Security & Production team.

The security takes responsibility for objects deposited there only and we cannot take responsibility for valuables left elsewhere therefore we highly recommend the use of our lockers.

The availability is limited so we advise you to book now!

Are There Any Banned Items?

NO FIRE. A total fire ban is in operation throughout the entire duration of Sola Luna Festival. Thailand’s beautiful landscape comes with unique risks, especially wildfires. Prevention is the best way to ensure safety, so naked flames, campfires, BBQs, gas stoves, candles, flares, fireworks, or anything that could cause a wildfire are NOT allowed. This strict rule is also a condition of our festival permit.

There will be zero tolerance. Please cooperate and help us protect the natural beauty of Thailand.

Note: professionally installed gas systems within caravans or campervans are exempt from this ban.

NO GLASS It’s important to not leave glass products (bottles, drinking glasses, etc.) out in the open. Even a small piece of glass can magnify sunlight and potentially start a fire. Broken glass is also dangerous to people and wildlife. Let’s protect ourselves, the environment, and local animals.

NO BOTTLES – NO CANS – LIMITED ALCOHOL You’re welcome to bring tents, chairs, tables, and picnic equipment into the campsite, but please minimize your gear to reduce the impact on nature. Glass bottles are prohibited to reduce fire risk and environmental damage. You may bring factory-sealed water and non-alcoholic drinks in plastic bottles up to 500 ml into the festival area.

NO DRONES While drones can capture amazing footage, Sola Luna Festival is not the place for them. Please respect privacy concerns and be aware of the inherent dangers of flying drones in crowded areas. We want everyone to be safe, therefore, drones of any kind are not permitted at Sola Luna. Drones will be confiscated, and we appreciate your cooperation in keeping our festival space safe.

Thank you in advance for your understanding and help in keeping Sola Luna a safe and beautiful experience!
